Fridays

Community Meal

Fridays starting at 5pm
334 NW Newport Ave, Bend, OR 97701

Join us each week for a meal together, time for community, and fun!

You are welcome to bring a side or dessert to share, but it is not required.

Dinner starts at 5pm (but it’s totally okay to come late!)

Games and time to hang out after.

**We would love to have you join us for church after, but there is no pressure or obligation to stay either!**

Pre-Launch and Grow

We’re so excited to be in our “Pre-Launch” phase!

In the “Pre-Launch” phase we will be focusing on growing as a Core Team, getting to know our neighbors, and exploring ways that God is calling Catalyst Life Alliance to connect with and serve the community of Bend! God is on the move in Bend and we are so excited to get to be a part of all He is doing!

What you can expect in the “Pre-Launch” phase…

– Intentional times of listening prayer and discernment as we prayerfully pursue new avenues for ministry, community connection, and serving. 

– Networking and making connections with other Gospel-centric churches and believers in Bend. We love what is God is already doing through His people in Bend and we’re so excited to get to partner and dream about the future of Bend!

– Learning about and loving our community well. Loving our community well is at the core of who we are as a church body. During the “Pre-Launch” time we are especially focusing on learning and connecting in the community to best form a strategy for serving our community well for the long run.

– Weekly worship gatherings where we will study the Word together, worship Jesus together, take communion, and grow together. This is a time for equipping the Saints to live on mission in the community seven days a week! During the “Pre-Launch” phase, these gatherings will feel more like small groups where we will have full worship, but the teaching time will be more discussion driven as we all develop and grow together.

– Growing our Core Team. The Core Team is a group of people passionate about the mission God has called Catalyst Life Alliance to and desiring to commit to building the church and serving our community. Personal invites and relationships are the core of how we hope to grow.

– Developing leaders and ministries. As we continue to grow we will be focusing on discovering and developing the gifts and talents of our Core Team members. As growing needs and opportunities arise, we will be developing and implementing new ministries as the Lord leads.

What to expect

Prayerfully Planning for
Spring 2025

Public Launch

We are prayerfully hoping to move into our “Public Launch” phase in the Spring of 2025. 

As God continues to bless and grow Catalyst Life Alliance, we fully anticipate the need to shift into what we are calling the “Public Launch” phase. In this phase, we expect to see our gatherings change a bit, our ministries develop, and our outreach/serving opportunities multiply!

What you can expect in the “Public Launch” phase…

– Corporate prayer times each week as we join together to listen for what God is saying and doing in our midst. 

– Developing established routines of serving our community through outreach, Marketplace Ministries, and community connections.

– Continued weekly gatherings. As we grow, our gatherings will shift from discussion based teaching to large group teaching. We’ll continue to engage in community worship time, sharing communion together, and equipping the Saints for living missionally through out the week.

– Launching Missional Groups. As we outgrow the ability to engage with each other in a small, close-knit way through discussion based teaching, we will launch missional groups for people to engage in more intimate and close connections and discussions through out the week. These groups will be led by leaders who we have trained and equipped to lead groups meeting in their homes or community meeting spaces.

– Continued growth of our Core Team. This team will continue to be the heartbeat of Catalyst Life Alliance and will constitute our membership base for corporate prayer, discernment, and making important church decisions together. 

– Establishing ministries and growing leaders. As God blesses and directs, we will establish dedicated ministries with equipped leaders to serve our church and our community in specific ways. We will continually be prayerfully listening for the leading and provision of the Holy Spirit as we launch new opportunities to love and serve the community of Bend.

Why wait for a
Public Launch?

Our prayer is to begin our “Public Launch” in the spring of 2025. The reason we’re not jumping right into this phase from the beginning is because we feel God challenging us to grow the base of our church, the Core Team members, through intentional connections with the community, missional living, and personal invites. 

“Invite people to your table before you invite them to church”

Because we long to have a church who’s heart is centered on living missionally (inviting people into your life and intentionally stepping into theirs) and not growing through attractional principles (just inviting people to church) or transfer growth (people switching churches) only, we believe this first phase of growth needs to be organic. Furthermore, we long for that growth to be made up of individuals who catch the vision of Catalyst Life Alliance and long to live as the Church on mission.

As Catalyst Life Alliance grows, we hope this strong base and intentional time of vision-setting will help build a community of believers who are not just looking to check the “church” box each week, but are passionate about being the church every day to the community of Bend and beyond!
